Sass & Bide recently published this lookbook for their eyewear range, Ladysaint. It’s a delightfully now pastiche of pretty bits and bobs, arranged in a way that is at once striking and light. When I say light, I mean of feeling – the deliberately playful styling doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s almost comically faux.
This notion of over-emphasising the fakeness of things has become something of a trend lately – think super bling costume jewellery, grandiose embellishments on cheap tees and tongue-in-cheek prints. I’m reminded of the Margiela for H&M bodysuit which I’m hoping to nab online tomorrow morning when the collection goes on sale.
